Got A Ticket Tonight (Mass), Question?

Here is a scan of my ticket i just got. I was going down Rt57 in Agawam, a 55mph highway. When I saw the cop on the side of the road I looked down and my speedo said 67. He said he got me doing 74mph. He also wrote me up for a modified exhaust.

Now my question is this, as you can see in the picture he checked 'estimated' AND he checked 'lidar' What does that mean? It also says 'CL' above the 74, but 'clocked' is not checked. And the 2866' above the boxes. Did he clock me or did he estimate me? and thats from a half a mile away so is that accurate if it was lidar? What the heck did he do? And how did he get me? And do I have a chance fighting it? I'm fighting the ticket anyways, as I have a good track record with that lol. I havent had a ticket in like 3 and a half years also, and I know a state cop who I can talk to but not till monday or tuesday. So looking to get a couple questions answered before that point. Thanks in advance guys.

did he get u around the rotery? i got caught there too

. i say fight it! u can't estimate and use a lindar at the same time. and i don't think he can give u a ticket for having a catback. im pretty sure mine set up is much louder than the dc catback and i have never been pulled over for it. you should becareful on that road too, ive noticed recently that cops have been more often. i went to agwam on that route 5 times in one week and have seen almost 4 people in that time get pulled over.

i know some people in that area that might help u. thats how i got out of my ticket there. ill ask for you.

im thinking the 'CL' stands for civil. look at the crim (criminal) and civil listing next to it.

oh and btw kinda unrelated but the umass motorsports club are having cruises every sunday at 5:00pm up 116 north. having one this sunday if u wanna come.

yeah it was right before the rotary, about to go up the ramp over the bridge. I make the drive to and from work every day, and sometimes more than once a day. and honestly since the end of march when we opened for the season, this is only the 3rd cop ive seen that wasnt driving along. this guy was an asshole about everything and claimed any exhaust louder than stock is illegal, which i do not think is 100% accurate. but thats not what im concerned about on the ticket right now lol

yeah it could be, but it already is civil, and printed. and it could mean 'clocked' because it is above the 74. i dunno, all stuff i need to ask my statey friend when i see him next week.

I cant help you but i do know that ANY aftermarket exhaust in MA is illegal

thats sooo much bull. i know tons of people that have exhausts on their cars. and they try to pass that bill soo many times and it always goes down the toliet.
