Aw **** now you guys are all running in the 14s. Shit like this makes me not wanna run at all. I'd be lucky if I get mid low 15s. This sucks.

The problem is I won't be happy with the 14.999999 either. I don't know I think I might be disappointed in my car as well as my driving skills.

I just keep asking myself why I have my si instead of an rsx that for half of the $ I am paying for the si will run in the 11's. Seems like I got the wrong car for me.

Well, ive said it before and Ill say it again.... the subs in your trunk are NOT helping... AT ALL.

Yea... its not a TON of weight... but its having weight in the worst place. Behind the rear wheels. All it does is weigh your trunk down, thus, essentially lifting the nose of your car.

Then... when traction in 1st gear is an issue, pumping MORE power though it (with the n2o) is only going to hurt and not help.

Im just playing devils advocate, here... because I think youre missing the big picture. You cant just add more go-fast mods and expect your times to drop accordingly. You have to practice and refine your technique.

Thats basically what I do when I go... yea, I work on everything when I go... but i usually try to really focus on just one aspect of the 1/4 that i need to get better... and it seems to work. The whole picture is starting to come together.... but it still needs more refining

even in an RSX you wont be in 11s unless you can handle the launch with all that power.

the best mod you can do for the 1/4 is the driver...

Yeah but you can cheat sorta and add big power adders haha. I'm not disagreeing with anything you are saying by any means, I just really hate running shitty and thus dont practice, and because I don't practice I run shitty ...etc.

Its a mess.

On the contrary... adding more power wont help times at all. more power = less traction = worse 60ft = same or worse ET

your trap speeds will grow... because the added horsepower will make up the time lost in the 60ft... but your times wont improve.

I know I gotta practice, assuming I can even put up with it anymore. I tend to give up easily on shit. I'm gunna try to get radials but honestly I wont have enough money and by the time I do get some rims and better tires it will be winter. I dunno what I'm gunna do.

You cant give up... youve spent too much time/money to give up on something when the only thing holding you back is yourself.

PS - me, mike and adam wont give up on you ... and im sure we can get Natt to nagg you as well if we must

Thanks man. This shit is just discouraging and depressing since I'm making an assload of $$ for a 19 year old, I have a brand new car, put more $ into it than I paid off of the loan so far and I've always wanted a fast civic when everyone else was talking about how they wanted lambos and shit. I just get discouraged that my bank account is constantly at zero and I am not satisfied with a lot of the results most of the time. I can just imagine getting an older hatch and dropping a K in it boosting the shit out of it (WITH TUNING ) and do it all for less than I have paid so far for the car and parts. Thats been pissing me off non stop. I know I wanted a new car, but I can't believe its still this limited in tuning and how the prices of parts haven't dropped yet etc...

I'm just getting worn out REALLY fast.

Now add in the fact that I don't own a garage and I have to drive this thing all winter unless someone has a beater to sell me or 4drWhore wants to work with me in making that b16 mine.....

Megastress=FAIL.

Actually more power will help his times. He can launch awful and make it up at the end. Like I do. hehe.....But it's still no reason to not rty and perfect the launch.
