i would call honda direct and let them know your situation, tell them the dealer is not helping and ur car is stock, that's not fair and make it you would never buy a honda again if that's the trouble u goingt to have for a stock exhaust... i went online the only # i see is the finance department but they should put you with the right people, ask them for a letter or something saying that their exhaust is street legal

becuz here in MA......noise abuse is a secondary offense....meaning that if you get pulled over for a moving violation.......they could get you for the noise violation.......not the other way around.......you cant be pulled over for a secondary offense.....

kinda like BEFORE they changed the seat belt laws...you couldnt be pulled over for not having your seat belt on....but if they pull you over for running a red light, they can get you for not having a seat belt.....

you sure you werent drivin like hulk hogan's son?

im just givin you a hard time man......but if I were you I would find out if a noise violation in NY is a secondary offense......cuz if it is, they didnt have a right to pull you over for it. Especially if they said "we pulled you over becuz you're real cute and I kinda wanna bang your tailpipe - - I MEAN your muffler's too loud"

When i have been pulled over, its cuz I was drivin like a jackass......
thank god all that changed.......
thats actually the reason why I didnt get the Si......driving fast only gets you tickets....

Damn. This situation you're in sux. I live in the BX so I know about Fordham Road. Sounds like that cop had nuthin' else to do but pulll you over. I drive over there all the time with my intake and 20% tint and they dont' mess with me. (Fingers crossed). You should be able to beat it though with proof. I used to work for Jacoby & Meyers and I now work for Allstate so I have a little experience with these situations. I wouldn't worry about payin $875.00. That's ridiculous. Keep us updated.

go to any dealer... take pics... search the web for pics, info, stock sound db readings... look for part numbers and tell the cop he's dumb...

they should update cops on recent models and specs...

all it takes is go to honda dealer and get service department head to check it and sign off thats its oem equipment. also get a business card of his because if its that big of a deal the judge will call them to make sure you didn't falsify the check. also take pics at the dealer and pics of a car sitting in dealer lot showing it has the same exhaust. also doesn't our exhaust have the part number on it? if so snap a pic of that and any honda emblems on it.

Bro the penalty will never be $875. There about a 90% chance you wont even have to pay a penny... if in fact you do go to court ( which doesnt always happen most "noise pollution" summons get dismissed in a letter in the mail cause they know its a waste of time) the most u will pay is $35. Trust me lol i have gotten about 40 tickets for exhaust.... i have only paid $35 twice cause the judge felt like breaking balls..
