haha, yeah I'm sure I could. I don't like the exhaust though. or the rims. I would have to really inspect that car before I made a decision. And with it having performance mods (bad ones too) I'm more cautious because I don't want to buy a car that wasn't taken care of. I know these cars are built to be driven hard but I don't want it if it's been over-revved or anything like that.

I may go test drive next week just to see what an Si feels like.

here's a picture of it....

I'm going to the dealership this friday to look at a FBP Si Sedan. The price they sent me in an email was 22,145. Thats w/o Navi which I dont really have a use for. Is this a good deal or not?...thats the price plus doc fees, title, and taxes. Is this a good deal...

that sounds like not to bad of a deal for an EX-L. I'd say take it for 22,500 as your final offer.

uhhhh what? ... why not just get a 2008 Civic Si w/navi and foglights for 23k OTD... more fun to drive, same features, faster, and just as comfy with great gas mileage...

Hi guys,
I've been a member for awhile, but never posted. I've finally decided that I am ready for my first car purchase and want to get a good deal. I live in SoCal area, and got a quote from Riverside, CA Honda. They quoted me a Rallye Red Si, HFP kit, HFP 18inch wheels for $25,600. After TTL it will be $28,000. What do you guys think? I personally think its a little expensive, but im very inexperience with car buying. If possible can someone please give me a DO-ABLE number with the same car set-up so I can negotiate with the dealers.

Yeah, a little on the high side. Is this quote for a sedan or coupe?

What quite a few people on the boards are recommending to me is this.... DO NOT buy any of the options (except navi if you want it) ... but the HFP rims, HFP body kit, fog lights, auto dim mirror, etc... DO NOT BUY WITH THE CAR!!! Reason being is because $3,000 in options with install will end up being $9,000 after interst rates and all that stuff. The LESS you can get the car for OUT THE DOOR (OTD), then the less your monthly payment will be. Then just start saving your OWN money and buy all the things you want separate. Plus, theres better rims than the HFP ones IMO...

You can get a new Si with navi and fogs OTD for right at about 22-23k here in Illinois...

Try calling Honda World (562-929-7000). Ask for Matt Piercey, a good friend of mine. He is the General Sales Manager/part owner of the dealership. His family actually owns three Honda dealerships in SoCal so they have a good chance of hunting down the car that you want. Mention my name, Simon, and tell him what you're looking for. He'll take care of you

Like SRT4toCivic said, don't get the extras. Matt's dealerships sells his cars without the xtras, really no BS when you deal with him. Worth the phone call.

hey guys I called long beach Honda today, asked for rallye red with non navi, they wanted 21745 plus tax. It seems like that's the best price around the area. I offered my price which was 22000 otd and many of them think its a joke. So what should I do? I wanna get a car, but it still seems expensive.

I just got a surprisingly good deal from Hoehn Honda in San Diego for a base no navi 2008 SI sedan 22900 OTD. Weseloh Honda in OC offered me the same car for 22650 but then backed out of the deal. Downy Honda said they would give it to me for 22500 OTD but they didnt have a car without navi. Finally went with Hoehn to avoid the drive to LA. Got the car 12/13. Talk to Tony Moschi, nice guy - straightforward with the dealing.

Pacific Honda's last offer was 23500 OTD but they wouldnt let me test drive unless I committed to buying it (which to me is an unrealistic expectation). Honda of Escondido refused to entertain any conversation below 24000 OTD.

I was quoted a "no-hassle" price of $18,995 for an RR EX AT Coupe ($20,817 OTD in CA). Several months ago--like last March--I got several quotes for a 2007 coupe, the best price being $20,500 OTD ($18,630 for the car). Have prices really gone up that much or do I just need to shop around for a cheaper hassle price?

By the way, this dealer claims invoice is $18,729.12, when Edmunds says it's $18590 (including destination).

Purchased my car 12/16/2007 2008 Rallye Red Si Coupe.
At the time, there was only one Rallye Red coupe available throughout southern california, everyone wanted 22 or 22k, except for Downey Honda in LA. Sticker price was 21,345 after all tax title license it came to a total of 23.4k OTD. I think I got a pretty fair deal since it was a "rare" color at the time.

I got quoted a price for an LX at $17,076.50. This is after all dealer fees but before tax title and license. Is this a good deal?
