Its NOT THAT HOT.....although it is popular.

I just sold a Preowned 06 rally red 2dr SI NAVI with 2k miles that was HONDA CERTIFIED (extra 12mo/12k miles limited and extra 2yr / 40 k mile powertrain warranties) and the car price at the time of sale was 22,598.00 I believe.

Here is the link to the pics of it...

So what they are trying to pull is RETARDED.

On the 06 LX you have....we are SELLING one with 5k miles for 15,900 so they are about right on the value in my opinion. But with tax savigs...thats a total of 875.00 for 6.25% taxes...so total trade value is almost 15k.

Letmeknow what else you need!

thank you chris, i donno if i should just go for that deal, if i get like 15 for my car and then get them down to 21, you thin ki can get a lower price on a si 2006 coupe with 3000 miles on it than 21gs?

Adding This to this thread:

For those of you new to Car Buying or for those of you who will be purchasing soon that havent done it in a while……

I am starting to see a LOT of people being fooled by low car prices dealers are telling people just to get them in the door, only to find that after everything is said and done….after the paperwork is signed and you are now a new (to you) owner of a vehicle….that they have Financed anywhere from 500.00 to 4000.00 ( ) more than they should have!!!!!!!!!

Remember ….it DOES NOT MATTER what the PRICE of the CAR is…..all that matters in comparrissons is what the DRIVE OUT PRICE is….and drive out price is classified as the amount that you are financing after ALL THINGS ARE CONSIDERED!!!

This means Car Price - Taxes - DMV Fees - Trade Values - Trade Payoffs - Down Payments - EVERYTHING……

So after all the above is factored in, this gives you your true BOTTOM line…and the WORST thing to do is TELL a Dealer what you are being offered elsewhere….because of COURSE they are going to give you a lower number just to get you in the door. You have to treat each Dealership like they are the first one that you have contacted….and see what they are will ing to offer you without any of the “Can you do Better” stuff…..

So my rant ends here……DO your homework and Dont be fooled by a low car price….because in the end all that matters is the Final Amount you pay!

Chris

good advice! Im 20years old this is my first brand new car & my credit score is 612 or 613. all i did was order the car, the number they gave me was $23,969 after 500 down to hold, and i told him to add summer tires so this will add anoter 200. is it too late to hagle with numbers or can i do it when i go to pic up the car? The only problem i have is that i have another loan out for my quad(08 suzuki LTR450) so i dont think they can finance me without a cosigner and a nice down payment.I will have about 3k to put down plus what ever they give me for my del sol, if they can take it.

It all depends on how many EX's they have in stock at your dealership, and surrounding dealerships. I know here in my area, we are completely sold out of any type of civic. If we were to get one it, we will not negotiate on the price, because they are in so much demand around here.

However, if the cars are pretty abundent in your area, you should be able to work something out pretty easily. I just bought an 08 EX coupe for $17600. 0 miles and still in the factory plastix when i bought it. Thats because I work for honda though. In your situation, I would try to haggle at about 18500 - 19000 for an excellent deal on an EX coupe.

Well, there are two honda dealers in my area and both have quite a bit civics in stock. Hopefully I'll be able to negotiate something or try and get a gooddeal overall. Thanks for the advice, will think on it.
