My 2011 custom turbo build

Figured I'd start a build thread in here since there arent alot of boosted 8thgens around here. The car is being towed to Moncton in the coming weeks so I will have lots of pics up soon. The manifold, downpipe, and exhaust is being custom made at JDracing.
Parts list- Holset hy35 (had one on my dsm and loved it)
Ebay fmic/piping kit
hks ssq black edition bov
tial 38mm wastegate
rc1000cc injectors
act xtreme pressure plate with street disc
walbro 255 fuel pump
ktuned fuel rail
aem uego wideband
and of course will be tuned with flashpro

Thats all I can think of right now, I will have more updates once my parts arrive i the mail.

Just picked up some 3" mandrel u-bends from Raven Autosports.
And ordered my flanges, gaskets, resonator, and magnaflow 3" in/out muffler from Exhaust Direct.

I'd be happy with 350whp. Its not going to be an all out build like my talon but enough to have some fun with. The hy35 flows enough to reach 500 but I'm looking to run 14psi daily. Its going to depend on the flow of my manifold. Jacques does excellent work so we will see lol

Well just to give an idea, my full 3" exhaust (gaskets, flanges, muffler, resonator has cost me 360.00 lol
Turbo I paid 300 with fresh rebuild.
Only thing I'm paying full retail for is the clutch and flashpro. Its a budget build, just for fun.

I already have a skunk2 3'' exhaust so i wouldn't have to buy 1 but currently i am planning on scraping my SC build and going FR turbo or any other respectable kit. I was curious of what you spent and your thoughts on going turbo but i look forward to seeing your build come together..

Oh if I had 6k I would have bought a fr kit for sure! But I've got a lot of friends that are very good with custom fab work so this was just the better route for me. Most ppl will tell you that its all in the manifold/turbo combination. I will be happy with my setup as its just going to be mild. I had a gt3582r ballbearing, with9.1:1 wiseco/eagle in my talon. I've got a little guy at home so I've gotta watch how I budget now haha

just picked up some precision 1000cc injectors from a buddy in moncton. Not planning on using a fuel return setup yet so these should help
And decided to see how well the pod fit.

So I got a deal from a guy on lowmotion that I couldnt pass up, picked up a tial 38mm wastegate and precision 350 fmic tonight. The intercooler is fairly small but for my goals it will be fine. I'm waiting on a mac boost selenoid, 3 bar map sensor and oil lines. Only thing after that to bolt everything on will be my manifold and rest of the exhaust! Cannot wait.

Bit of an update, ordered a bunch of parts today.
Flashpro, walbro 255 fp, oil line kit, manifold (not getting one custom made), picked up some more mandrel piping for the exhaust, picked up a mac boost selenoid.
Waiting on my clutch, aem meth kit, and injectors. Buddy ended up selling the precision 1000s even though he said they were mine. Ahh well what can ya do. That's all for now. Boost coming soon! Stay tuned

Doesn't look like it will be done for speedsport I'm hoping its done in april. Im selling my elantra within the next week or 2 so that will pay for tuning, clutch, and injectors. Will take a few days getting everything installed and fab'd up. Almost ended up changing my mind about the build but now that I've got everything I need to bolt it together there's no turning back!

Bit of an update.....tried using a top-mount log manifold, but the turbo was too big so a custom manifold is being made. Relocated the battery to the trunk, rerouted the main engine wiring harness and other misc wires, and coolant lines. Tilted the rad 3" forward to fit the charge piping. was trying to have the car done by mid may, but with the manifold situation, looks like sometime in june. Will post pics when I'm at an actual computer. That's all for now
