i like both of them but jay-z is easily the better of the two, lil wayne might be on a hot streak as of late but his career and what he has accomplished cant even compare to Jay-Z, lil wayne has sick metaphors in his lyrics but if you look at the songs Jay-Z has done its on another level ... just my opinion though

i respect jay-z for everything he has done and yea lil wayne isn't at his level, YET. imo Jay-z had his time and now its lil wayne's. Hey maybe he'll even start buying clubs and sports teams like Jay. |

hahahaah. this is damn hilarious.
the only people that could possibly think lil wayne is at the same level jayz ever was, are people who dont appreciate classic rap, dont know about jay-z's real music (not just the radio), or fall for the catchy hook crap thats on the radio. when lil wayne comes out with somthing better than dead presidents, cant knock the hustle, encore, etc. then maybe he has a chance. but just because he gets popular on the radio within the last couple years because of a few catchy hooks, doesnt make him good. have you ever heard a good underground song of lil waynes?..i doubt it. because the only thing that gets his music anywhere is marketing. Did you notice the "only real rapper or artist i constantly hear about" part or should I run that by you again?
So he hears about him, so what? We heard about about OJ but doesn't mean he's the best at something. You hear alot about Dr. Phil, doesn't mean he's the best. That's all I'm saying. Just because you hear about someone/something alot does NOT constitute them/it/whatever being better than another person/thing/object/whatever. Ever heard of Dahlak? I'd rather listen to Dahlak all day then Lil Wayne just because Lil Wayne gets old and his lyrics are whack most of the time. True, he has some great songs but there aren't a ton.
