There is a transformers 2 coming out. Not for a while but I thought I would open a thread and post what I know about it. Open it for discussion!

Plot Synopsis:

The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

Yeah, it won't happen. This movie will be just like the last one. A big advertisement for one car company. Freaking sucks IMHO.

the reason is because GM i think paid a high amount of money for the cars to be used in Transformer to promote their cars more and make more sales. Thats what i heard.

Yea I think thats what happened. GM paid some bucks for it. Its kinda obvious because when they show the solstice they take 10 min displaying the name of the car. I think "I am Legend" did the same thing with all the Fords. Its a new advertisement idea. I wonder what cars will be in the next one. They used up most of the American muscle cars. Maybe a Corvette?

07RredSi, did you get that plot synopsis off of imdb.com? They've already had a fake out on there.

if you want to know the most up to date info regarding the film either hit up Michael Bay's blog, Transformers Toys News Reviews - TFormers.com or Transformer World 2005. It's updated on a regular basis.

btw, did you see the "leaked" ie. fake script draft? It was great. This synopsis sounds similar to that.

If you really did like the movie and can't wait for hte second, I definitely recommend checking out the sites I posted above. They're really ontop of what's going on with the second.

The problem with IMDB is it suffers from Wikism. People can add and edit stuff and it's not always dead on. As you can see by the page it is locked. Now, I won't discount that this could be the direct path they plan on taking with the second film. But currently the writers are on strike and unfortunately, they had just chosen who would be the official writers on the film just before the strike. Nothing has been written in stone. I'm not saying don't put it out there, just know that as all things Hollywood are concerned, they are bound to change and knowing the path the last film took prior to it's completion and release, it will. Arcee was supposed to be in the first movie but the fanboy's cried and they replaced the girl with Ironhide. I'm not complaining. I love his cannons.

Pontiac Solstice. And that that was Jazz. Who always looked best as a Porsche. If GM doesn't allow it, I can't. My car is 100% Decepticon. Lol.
