Webby started this thread a while ago. It's got some good stuff in there.
Your AOL idea is good. I used to get on there a lot, and I'd hear music that didn't hit mainstream for another two years. |

Songs to Check Out
I don't know about you, but I am always looking for new music. I figured if we listed our top 5 songs that we are currently listening to, we can get some new ideas. They can be really old, or brand new. Here are mine...
1) Elliot Smith - Angeles 2) Tool - Vicarious 3) Nickleback - Savin Me 4) Metalica - Motorbreath 5) Trapt - Stand Up |

If anybody's interested in something Ultra-grown and sexy, I advise picking up an album titled "The Love Experience" by Raheem DeVaughn. I've been on an R&B/neo-soul/alternative kick for quite some time now. It's one of the best albums I've ever heard. Nickelback's last album was good, as was the last 3 Doors Down album.
And Fort Minor's been in my car since it released. Download the mixtape that came out before it, if you can find it. That's some REALLY good sh*t :) |

Eh! I have no real NEW music to share...I'm mired in the music of bygone eras...don't care for this newfangled "Fort Major" and "Lincoln Place" you young whippersnappers listen to these days... And another thing! Where's my pills?!
(translation: Suddenly, I feel very very old.) |

A two-part question...how many here are familiar with this? (Apologies if the link is funky, worked when I tested it, it's a direct link to a WMA sample from Allmusic): mms://sg5.allmusic.com/016wma_28/s100/s10012/s1001215/s100121502gl80m.wma Second part of the question to follow (feel free to steal my thunder)... |

Jaranath, I'm on a MAC and can't see the link.
Edit: Okay, I hopped on the PC real quick. Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World. Got it. Question Two is...? Let me guess. Who did the original? David Bowie. What's next? ![]() |

I prefer "hip-hop" music myself. in no particular order
1. Matisyahu- king without a crown live at Stubbs 2. Zion I- Silly Putty Ft. Grouch 3. Roots Manuva- Motion 5000 4. Ludacris-Phat Rabbit 5. Da Backwudz- I dont like the look of it I have alot more "underground" stuff, but alot of people wouldn't like that stuff. |
