This sounds familiar.. Boondock Saints? I only saw it once and hated. However, I was not sober and perhaps could have missed the intention of the film altogether.

Well as I said I was FAR from sober.. soooo who knows. I may have to give it another watch since a few of my friends love it and don't know why I don't. IIRC I just didn't know how to take it when I saw it.. Action? Comedy? Action comedy? And then Dafoe's character made it all sorts crazy.
