bro can state his opinion though ... just be like "i disagree, and this is why..." i didn't think the movie was great; it was good but not great. rescuing the girl was good and so was the statue of liberty head part and the initial chaos before that... other than that it was just alright

If you watch the newscast at the beginning of the movie the female african american news anchor is interviewing the woman who "cured cancer". During the interview you can clearly see "giants beat new england" scoll across the bottom of the screen. The movie was filmed long before the superbowl! Pretty neat.

<Peter Griffin> You know what grinds my gears?
I hate it when people compare this Cloverfield to Blair Witch because no matter what you think of Cloverfield, it's light years ahead in every aspect. Blair Witch was boring, long, and a complete waste of time -it also had the lamest ending I've ever seen! I suppose the only thing that sucked more than Blair Witch was its sequel? |

George A. Romero is coming out with a new zombie movie that will be filmed primarily with hand held cameras. The guy is a genious, but I think this way of filming is already becoming too overdone. There's a Spanish film called REC that I just saw recently. It's all handheld. And now there's an American version coming out called Quarantine that is probably frame by frame the exact same movie. JJ Abrams even said in a recent interview that if there is a sequel, they probably won't go handheld, since handheld camera work is getting overplayed. |
