Yeah, it's hard to make out exactly what it is. If you watch the trailer in HD, at 1:29 you'll see this scene. It looks to me like there are legs or claws or really long fingers ripping apart a building. Up top looks like the mouth, but it's really hard to see. It goes out of focus so much.

They knew what they were doing when they made this trailer!

I think this movie is exactly what it is, a NEW monster movie filmed differently for the american audience.

Ofcourse trying to crack JJ's mind on how he does things and what he's always up to is a MIND JOB in itself. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie next year.

ive read online that some ppl think the monster is godzilla or cthulha. i really hope its not another godzilla movie, that would ruin it for me.

JJ Abrams (producer of the movie) has said numerous times it's not a remake of any movie. This is a new monster.

I'm gonna laugh my ass off when this movie comes out and it's absolutely NOTHING of what people thought it was or would be. It's PROBABLY just a new monster movie.

If it's a new version of GODZILLA then i'm cool with that aswell as the possibility of it being some competely new monster movie.
