The Rolling Stones

Call me old but no band has captured me musically like the Stones. My favorite song "Gimme Shelter" I can't explain it but since the first time I heard it I loved it. Then again, I've always been entranced by the Vietnam era.

What's your favorite Stone's song?

Oh, a storm is threatning
My very life today
If I dont get some shelter
Oh yeah, Im gonna fade away

War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away

Ooh, see the fire is sweepin
Our very street today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way

War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away

Rape, murder!
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away

Rape, murder!
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away

Rape, murder!
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away

The floods is threatning
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or Im gonna fade away

War, children, its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
Its just a shot away
I tell you love, sister, its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Its just a kiss away
Kiss away, kiss away

I saw them at the Astrodome in Houston, Tx. in 1994 - Voodoo Lounge Tour (Bryan Adams opened) - awesome show!! If I had to pick a favorite song it would probably be between Tumbling Dice, Waiting on a Friend, or Emotional Rescue... hard to narrow it down to just one since they have music that spans so many decades. :)

Lupang Hinirang

Bayang Magiliw
Perlas ng Silanganan,
Alab ng puso
Sa dibdib mo'y buhay.

Lupang Hinirang,
Duyan ka ng magiting,
Sa manlulupig,
'Di ka pasisiil.

Sa dagat at bundok,
Sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw,
May dilag ang tula
At awit sa paglayang minamahal.

Ang kislap ng watawat mo'y
Tagumpay na nagniningning,
Ang bituin at araw niya
Kailan pa ma'y 'di magdidilim.

Lupa ng araw, ng luwalhati't pagsinta,
Buhay ay langit sa piling mo;
Aming ligaya, na 'pag may mang-aapi
Ang mamatay nang dahil sa 'yo.

Paint it Black and Sympathy for the Devil are 2 of my favorites. But my absolute favorite is You Can't Always Get What You Want. I mean, french horns in a rock-n-roll song? Genius.

...she was practised at the art of deception...

Truth

It's a bit hard to pick a favorite.

I'm going to there concert on Nov 18th at the Dodger stadium, wooohhooooo! going with my Pops since it is his kind of rock and roll music! I get to watch old grandpa's rock'n it out. The Stones are cool, I hope they play that song "Angie"

stones awe awesome. I've seen them twice (bridges to babylon and no security).

Great show but nothing can beat going to a U2 show.

Sympathy for the devil is probably my ultime favorite but they have so many great songs it's hard to choose.

has nothing to do with being too poor. I tried to get tickets to this tour when they first came to fenway (my sis lives in baaaastan). Me, her, and her two frieds called non stop to get tickets but they sold out in a matter of minutes.

Turns out it costs 150 to get into the stones fan club. But with that you can buy the tickets before they come out with a max purchase of like 10. So what people did was they paid the membership, bought 10 tickets at a decent price, then sold them to all the suckers on e-bay with about a 300% markup.

I was not about to drop 500 on a ticket to see the stones in boston.

During the no security tour (and u2's latest tour). Me and my two sisters managed to sneak into the good seats that cost like 300-500$ a ticket. Concerts are so much more fun when you can actually touch mick jagger or bono.
