2007 Honda Civic SI Carputer Project

After doing loads of research on mp3car.com which is the greatest carputer site on the planet. I've decided to build a carputer to interface with a custom alarm system i'm designing , but thats still in the works. So here is what i have so far

Case - VoomPC-2 CarPC Enclosure
Power Supply - M2-ATX 160W Intelligent DC-DC PSU
RAM - CRUCIAL, 2GB kit (1GBx2),
Processor - Intel T5600 Core Duo 1.83Ghz 1.83/2M/667/SL8VN
TV Tuner - Pinnacle PCTV HD Card - ATSC HDTV \
Motherboard - JetWay J9F2-EXTRME-LF Mini ITX
Wireless Card - Intel Mini-PCI Express 802.11 a/b/g/n
Satellite Radio - XM Package (XMD-1000) + USB adapter
Front End - Streetdeck software
Screen - Double Din LCD Head Unit [DWW-6500]
Bluetooth - StreetDeck Bluetooth Dongle for mobile phones (when its released)
Harddrive - Seagate Momentus 7200.2 200GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
Microphone - Andrea Electronics Superbeam Array Microphone Bundle

I'm also booting xp off of a 4gb compact flash drive (industrial strength) to improve boot times. I don't know how long the MB takes to post but we will see.

Everyone let me know what you think. Any thoughts at all.

look into the roadrunner front end. 1 its free and open source and 2.. im not much of a streetdeck fan.
also, if your gonna run off of CF cards. make sure you keep a spare with you at all times with the same info on it. the CF will fry eventually and you should be able to swap it out so your not down when your away from home.. driving without sound sucks. Good luck man. oh also the 2 din navi dash is cheap from the stealership. your gonna need an amp to power the pc unless your gonna use the stock amp in the car, and i wouldnt recomend using the onboard sound out of the pc, its not a very strong signal. cheers

Yea i have switched to RR because its less buggy and modifyable. I'm using a modified LSX VOID skin. I've decided to add a pioneer premier amplifier but the deck itself has an amplifier in it thats why i chose it. I thought it would suck to have to boot up the pc if i just wanted to use the radio for a short while but that has gone out the window lol.. I've made quite a few changes so far.

M2-ATX 160W Intelligent DC-DC PSU
CRUCIAL, 2GB kit (1GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module

4965AGN - Intel Mini-PCI Express 802.11 a/b/g/n 300Mbps Laptop Wireless Card
BU-353 Weather-proof GPS Receiver
Seagate Momentus 7200.2 ST9200420AS 200GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
