Good dealership sales experiences in Chicago and Greater Chicago Area?

Hey guys,
My wife needs a new car and we're deciding between a Prius or Civic Hybrid.

I'm trying to find out where guys have had good experiences, deals, satisfaction, etc. from Chicago area Honda dealerships.

Carrs Honda, Chicago is out of the question... horrible.
Where do you guys recommend?

Thanks...

i got mine at motorwerks in barrington, good experience in aurora, ok experience in elmhurst, extremely bad in lisle....make sure u call for prices first in different dealerships and keep lowering the price by telling them, "oh this dealership offered me this much, can u beat that"...and keep doin that till you're satisfied with ur price.

check this article out. very cool article to read but i just sent you the link to the last page, which is very helpful when buying a car.

I paid a little more at Valley Honda, but as you know, Naperville/Aurora by Fox Valley Mall is a nice area. I ended up paying the little bit extra and I e-mailed several dealerships. You may want to take that route. The customer service was excellent the day I purchased the car and it's excellent anytime I take it in for add-ons, repair, etc.

If you end up at Valley Honda, ask for Nick Theodor. He is the internet sales representative who helped me out and he is one hell of a guy. But if you're looking strictly on price, I'd e-mail all the dealerships around you and let them know they're all bidding for your business. :)

Just remember, you can use any dealership for repairs. Valley Honda has an excellent repair center as it's state of the art and there is no appointment needed. Much better than my old Chevrolet dealership.

Edit: But by looking at your profile, you may be too far from Valley to service it there.

thanks again,
i'll take your an the article's advice. i appreciate the tip about Valley though. If I find a dealership that does good service (warranty work), or even just actually does the service, it'd probably be worth the drive for me...

Carrs and McGrath have already failed me service wise. Carrs has horrible sales as well... horrible everything!

As I mentioned, Valley has a no appointment needed service department. You pull up to a garage which the door automatically opens when you pull up. At which point, you pull your car in right next to the service desk and they ask what's going on and than they take the car into the shop for repair. I had to do this when I had my fogs/remote start installed and it was snowing like a bitch. It's so nice to be inside at all times.

And I'm not sure if every dealership remembers their customers, but every time I'm in Valley, Nick Theodor (Salesman) and one of the managers always come up to me and know me by name. I never once reminded them of my name, but it's still a nice feeling. But than again, maybe other dealerships are the same.

Oh, and one more thing that you may find interesting. Valley has free Starbucks coffee and laptops with Wi-Fi internet use for your waiting enjoyment. There are two flat-panel TV's on the wall too. :)

[Jesus, I praised them a lot. And I am not paid by them! LOL]
