Minnesotans-Minnesota Sports Compact Meet cancelled

Everyone who signed up for the MNSC meet on May 3rd, the organizers have cancelled the meet and rescheduled for the end of May. Here's the link to the MNSC meet rescheduling: Minnesota Sport Compacts Forums

Meet is Sunday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Normandale, which is where we usually meet up.

1. I'm still up for the may 3rd meet, we aren't missing much from the mnsc meet anyways. We can have another meet at the end of May for the mnsc, then Raskys meet late june.

Dave, Lake Normandale is a known quantity and is large enough to accomodate all of us. Plus, it has been the scene of a number of meets and is central enough for everyone from the north, south east and west.

I think 2:00 p.m. would be a great time. Frankly, the earlier time for the MNSC meet was kind of a hassle for me.

So, how about Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Normandale?

Good idea Bill, hopefully this time we can take advantage of the lake scenes too, and make a good video out of the meet. 2PM - i can sleep in more :).

You and me both Dave. Saturday is a day I usually sleep in as I work 11 hour days. A little extra shuteye doesn't hurt.

BTW, I think we should shoot for Saturday, May 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Normandale.

I would prefer not to meet on Sunday. The MNSC meet was scheduled for Saturday and everyone had made plans to attend on Saturday, May 3rd. I was more interested in what time on Saturday and where to meet.

MNSC meet got canceled cause a lot of them are a holes. SUNDAY MEET. then i can go and my house burnt down the last one, so i say out of pitty, we do a Sunday meet.

I think I am done with MNSC. They completely revamped their site, which looks like it went on a major diet. Apparently some of the leaders left as well. To be honest, I feel that some of the people are kind of snooty. The only reason I thought about going was to get a group of us from 8th Gen to meet up there, then leave later and do our own thing. I don't have any more interest in attending any of their meets.

It will strictly be for those of us on 8th Gen. MNSC has cancelled their meet and has rescheduled for May 31st at another location. If you are interested, I will add your name to the list.

As for the BBQ, I don't know. We have never done that before. We usually meet up, shoot the breeze, take pics, then take a cruise. Some people go out for something to eat later. If we have a BBQ, I think we should change the location from Lake Normandale as it is not really set up for that. The original park I had recommended for the MNSC meet on May 3rd has a great place to BBQ, but there would need to be a concensus to do that.

sweet, count me and the wife in as tentative. i was going to sign up last time with you guys for the MNSC meet but to be honest i'm not a fan of VERY LARGE GROUPS! maybe at this meet my wife can put her $600 digi cam to use :)
