has anyone taken there fg2 back to there dealer for the 3rd gear tsb that came out on the 12th.

ive been taking mine to sunnyside honda in middleburge heights cause thats where i bought it but they always treat me like i dont know what im talking about. took it to them on 4 different occasions and they always found nothin wrong with my 3rd gear issues. i got it feb of 06 and ever since ive always had problems. i dont want to take it there cause its gonna take them foreer to fix it cause the have to " duplicate " the problem before they can do anything.

just seeing if anyone else has taken theres to a different dealership that will just fix the problem according to the tsb no questions asked. i live in cleveland but im willing to go all over ohio to get this fixed. thx

when I was first started looking into Honda's I went to Sunnyside in Middleburg Heights and was treated like shit, all because i didn't have my $10,000 down payment that day the salesman basically walked away from me, so Parkway Honda in my hometown got my $10,000 and the sale of a car!

Lyss:

Im waiting for one more part that is coming from California and we will get you in here. I expect these parts to go on backorder real quick based on the number of complaints. This is not a easy repair. The transmission has to be removed and taken apart so the 3rd gear unit can be replaced. My guess is 2 or 3 days of shop time.

That is what Honda is going to pay the techician - 8hrs. The time it actually takes will be at least double that. Technicians are not used to rebuilding transmissions anymore. That is a lost art. Most transmission repairs now are just warranty swap outs. We are lucky at Jay Honda to have 4 master techs that have been around long enough that they have rebuilt trannys. I see it everyday and I stick to my original prediction of 3 days. The alignment alone once the car is done takes an hour.
