The Si is gone.
![]() Since it was only a weekend car anyway, my wife and I decided to do the financially responsible thing and let it go. We traded in her 2004 Mazda3 and the Si in on a Toyota 4Runner. It's a practical family vehicle for a growing family like ours, frees up garage space and fattens the wallet. It was a tough decision, but it was the right thing to do. Smart financial moves like this when you're young like I am will only make for better things when you're older. I'll stick around and visit every so often to check in on you guys and gals and make sure you're playing nice.

Brian, happy and sad for you at the same time. I had considered selling my Si too a few times as well. I drive the car back and forth to work only basically and it's way over-kill. A 10 year old Civic could perform the same function just as well. My car is a just over a year old and an only 5200 miles. Decided to keep it because I intend to keep it very, very long term and it's damn fun when I need that rush.
4 Runner is a nice ride. Good choice. Had considered trading the wife's CR-V on a Rav4 recently too. Can't really go wrong on any Japanese vehicle really. |

Thanks for all the nice replies.
Sorry ohiocivicracer, I knew you were looking, just couldn't remember it at the time. I got about what I wanted on trade-in. BLU, navi, low mileage and cleanliness were all factors on why I got as much as I did. I will probably still pop in on the 7/14/07 meet to see how everyone is doing and bring the 4Runner. |
