True, their transmission doesn't pop out of gear or grind on them
.Sorry, it was just too perfect. I've seen like 10 Atomic Blue Metallic sedans today.

Joshua and I met up with Mike aka fbpfg2mjh at DQ in Hopkins. Mike showed up in his resplendent FBP FG2, an '08 model. It is a gorgeous car and could easily rival Ringpop's for shininess.
Right after Mike showed up, a Hopkins police car came down the street, turned around and parked across from my car. Then another came and another and another until there were 5 police cars parked right by our cars. It looked like a police officer's jamboree. As soon as the 5 police cars came, a RR FG2 shows up. Joshua, Mike and I all looked at the guy. It was a new '08. I thought that he stopped because he had seen both Mike and Joshua and me. We exchanged greetings and Joshua gave him an 8th Gen card. He then headed over to all the police officers sitting at the picnic tables. They all knew him and he sat down with them. His name is Jim. From the looks of it, he may have been one of Hopkins' finest as well. When he left, he got it on a little down the street, right by all the other police officers. From that, I take it that he either works at the police station or is an officer himself. Anyway, not your normal evening at your corner DQ. It was great to meet Mike. He is a great guy and a man after my own heart. He loves all cars and appreciates both muscle cars and finer European cars like BMW's, especially the M3 as that is what he had before his Si. Mike is a welcome addition to our Minnesota 8th Gen community.

And he rivals my shine? I've got some catching up to do. I must be slacking. It would also be nice if my workplace would give me the days I ask off for the meets. I haven't seen anyone in ages.

FBP FG2 with Wisconsin plates on 35w north headed towards 94west/downtown yesterday around 3pm. She was driving pretty fast but I caught up right before the 94 east/west split. The passenger was a guy and he was nodding as I passed and I gave a thumbs up. I vtec'ed to 8500 rpms to say goodbye as we parted ways, my gf also freaked out at this point and told me I was crazy.
