Well, I did. From 1973-1976 and again from 1980-1982. I have enough degrees from the U of M to have a fever.

I drive through campus a ton (particularly the East River Road area, the Dinkytown area, and the Northrop area by Scott.

I park in Dinkytown daily for classes. Be careful if you park there: people park like asshats. I got hit (need to get my front bumper side repainted and metal of the fender pulled out. They were kind enough to NOT LEAVE A NOTE, too -.-...

Mike, when did this happen? I remember when I went to the U and parking was at a premium. I got quite a few door dings. I bought some protective devices for the sides of my car that used those flexible magnets embedded in the material, which stuck to the car while protecting it from miscreants who would open their doors into the side of my car.

I was parked in Dinkytown's residential area, and I went to class for a few hours. I came back, and the driver's side side part of the front bumper (near where the headlight wraps around) got the paint scraped right off of it, and the metal pushed down, and the bumper pushed out. It also pushed the black wheel well "guard" down into the tire area.

I have an adjuster coming tomorrow. I know I risk it and I know the risk parking in Dinkytown, but I am not about to shell out 20 dollars a day for a parking ramp. Maybe next semester I'll just buy a ramp pass at Coffman so it's safer.

That's what I did Mike. I bought a ramp pass and later found a parking lot on the West Bank where I paid monthly to have a place to park. I usually could park anywhere I wanted. Of course, that was back in 1980, so things have probably changed since then. Sorry to hear about the damage to your beautiful FG2.

^ People get on my case for this, but had I known then what I know now, I would've never bought a Civic.

Engine is great...build quality, transmisison, and durability however...
