Minneapolis (U of M) area, looking for a good car wash.
I live in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. It is south of U of M and Hwy 94 along the river boardering St. Paul. I have been on the hunt for a good car wash.
I like to do it my self and was looking for a heated wash that actually has soap and warm water.:) The ones by me off Lake and Nicollet and Lake and 30th all suck. They are dirty and do not despense soap. Anyone got any sugestions? |

If you want a good DIY car wash, if you get on 35W North, follow that until you get onto 28C (I believe). You get off there, there's a McDonalds and a Taco Bell in the area, I believe. You follow that and you'll eventually see a 50 cent car wash on the otherside of the highway. Go to the next stop light, do a U-turn and voila. It's not the newest facility but it isn't a dump. It's one dollar to start the machine and you get the standard four minutes. On tuesday you get 8 minutes for one dollar (50 cent Tuesday specials) Only negative is that it usually has a lot of business, and the people don't like people going slow. As for touchfree, I've yet to find an automatic touch free that is good. What color Civic do you drive? I've seen a few on campus the last few days. If you ever feel like doing a double wash, I'd be up for that! |

Ah, so that's you... did you used to park out in front of Dinnaken every once in a while last semester?
Also, I think I know where you live, my friend also lives near Dinkytown, and I randomly saw a Blue Si parked in a spot behind (or at the side, cant remember, it was dark) a house, parallel to the street. I was that GG Si parked in Dinnaken parking lots right by the gates on Huron. |

I parked in front of Dinnaken once last semester so I could run into Harvard Market, but typically, when I am in Stadium Village, I park right in front of Chipotle, because I am a Chipotle whore.
I've seen one GG Si with tint and what I thought to be the body kit (OEM) driving up 4th Street by Starbucks and McDonalds a few weeks ago. I live on 8th Street in a small apartment complex, so yeah, that was probably me, actually. I've never seen any other blue Si's around campus but me. |
