Wisconsin Dells Cruise/Car Show Sat. May 16th

Greetings all;

I will be hosting a car cruise/meet (very informal) on Saturday May 16th. We will be meeting at 9:00am in Baraboo Wisconsin. The location will be at McDonalds on Hwy 12 across from Gander MTN. I have done this with the maxima.org people 4 times before.

The intent of this day is to meet from 9:00am until approx. 9:30am and then we will begin a cruise that will take about 1.5 – 2hrs through various local back roads. We will end up in Wisconsin Dells at a pre-determined location and continue with the meet and/or perhaps go to the car show etc. Route details to follow.

On this weekend, for those who haven’t done this with us before, there is a car show in the Dells on this weekend and usually 1200-1500 cars tend to show up. There are also many cars that are there not for the “Show” but just to be there. I have been going to this car show for the last 10+ years or so and it gets bigger nearly every year. It ends up being a great time.

This will be the 5th cruise.

All are welcome and all car types are welcome. This is not car specific. I would like all to know that this is a cruise at a “reasonable pace”…not a time for high speed racing and other nonsense.

With all the construction on 12 even if it wasn't a cruise it would still take that long to get to the dells :P

Though this sounds quite interesting indeed, i'll have to poke around on my calender see whats going on then.

If I may ask...what construction...where?

I run 12 from Baraboo to Madison for work every day...there is currently none!?!

How about from Baraboo to Wis Dells? 12 was all tore out last summer.

yeah my father was up there as well. says the barrels are out.. but nothing happening.

Probably waiting for the peak season for tourist to trap them permanently in the dells

May 16th is Test N Tune at MP for AutoX
Though its a good possibly I will not be able to get in on it, its only open for 45 people :/

And then on the 17th is WAI race.

Well...I have run the route today and all of the roads are in good shape...no surprises. I will have maps printed out and the routes highlighted for everyone. Monday or Tuesday I will make all of the copies. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.
