Anyone in SD with the Honda Reflash, yet?

I've been in touch with my local Honda dealership for the past 2 weeks attempting to get my car in for a reflash. Finally, just yesterday, I got a call from one of the Techs at my dealership who seemed quite interested in "this reflash thing":rolleyes: that I have been contacting them about.

The Tech told me that he hasn't heard or seen anything "in or around the Honda world concerning this ECU reflash".

So, I told him that I have a print out of the HDS version and a TSB # concerning this upgrade. He seemed quite skeptical, but he set up an appointment for later today. He wants me to bring in my print out and show him where I found this info. I'm gonna bring in the Honda Service Bulletin and if he gives me some b/s about not knowing what the Bulletin is about I'm gonna try and talk him into at least hooking up their HDS tablet to my Si. God I hope they have the update in their system.

If anyone has gotten this reflash done somewhere on the eastern side of SD could you please let me know where at and with whom you spoke with.

If there actually is anyone one else in SD with a '06 Si who cares, I have finally gotten thru to someone (Tim McVay) at Vern Eide Honda in Sioux Falls concerning the Honda ECU update.

I have an appointment for 2pm today. I am getting my tires rotated, oil changed, and my ECU updated

I called Vern Eide about a week ago with the TSB 06-052 info. and spoke directly with Tim who is the Service Manager at Vern Eide. He looked up the info. while I was on the phone with him and he was amazed to promptly find it in their system. He assured me that I was within the proper serial # range, that they had the proper software update in their systems, and that the update would be performed under warranty.

So, if anyone in the Sioux Falls region is still looking for an update, Tim McVay from Vern Eide Honda of Sioux Falls has been enlightened to the situation and should be willing and able to help u.
