A few spec v guys and I are probably going to Dyno at Lowe performance in Alton, IL at the end of October. I want to do a baseline on the SI. It starts production on the 14th and I should have it in the last week of october.

Alton is about 30 minutes from St. Louis. Anyone interested? If we get enough people, ther MAY be a discount. Otherwise, 75 dollars for 3 pulls.

Be careful Zach - all cars have a breakin period... make sure you don't go off dynoing your car in that period.

The seals and everything need time to break in - not break down :P

I just did a dyno the other weekend... did a 186 stock, 191 after intake and header - let us know how yours ends up.

^^ Right. It will probably be more like the beginning - mid november. Anyone else want to dyno?

BTW guys. I can't figure out if I want to go I/E, within a month of getting the car, or just save for the comptech SC in the spring. Damn...

I've decided that I'm not going to let myself waste money on bolt on's, again. I did that with the spec and I wasn't happy. Checking with my finances - by February I should have about 4k to spend on the car.

Can you say... CT stage 1 supercharger?

Would this not be my economy car, I wouldn't hesitate to boost it.

This is how I figured:

Intake - 300
Exhaust - 600
P2R spacer - 100
Header - 800
Total - 1800...

That's half way there.

Reflash - 600
Pullies - 200

Total 2600...

That would give me a little under what a SC would give me, with all of the added drone / vibrations on a new car. I want the car to be at least a little quiet for a while, since it will be new. The main thing I want to avoid is a header. Not only that, but any bolt on's I do after the SC will give me twice the gains. I'd rather just go with the supercharger and work on suspension mods.

Plus - SC wine ftw! We'll see. I'll have more than enough money to do it, by the time Feb rolls around. I know I won't be happy with the car until it's boosted. It just depends on if I'm actually going to pull the trigger or not.

Well after the Injen Intake and Vibrant Header with HFC I must say the car is still quiet as a whisper at idle and in moderate traffic. But hit that magical VTEC spot and she is plenty loud.

I was merging into traffic on a highway on-ramp and this lady wouldn't budge for nothing (even though the lane to her left was empty)... dropped it down into 3rd (at a reasonable 50mph) and cracked on the throttle - needless to say she bumped over fairly quick.

How does the CT exhaust sound? I was thinking about going CT, but I think I like the LSD, better.

Either way, I won't have an exhaust for a long time. Hopefully my first and only bolt on for a while will be the SC. Then it's on to suspension! Like I said, though, that's a long time off. Hopefully I don't change my mind, or decide to spend my 4 grand responsibly. :P

At tax time last year I had 5k saved up to boost the spec, but I decided to put most of it on my credit cards, and put the left over on vacation money.

The ******* dealership called me yesterday and tried to sell me a blue one. I told them to call me back when MY black one came in.
