looks excellent. I saw another board do something similar to that on a hood. They left it out for rain/sun/etc for like 3 months. They went back to it every few weeks and would update the progress on how it would bead up with water, depth of shine, etc. Looks like it was a great meet.

Yeah, I have it sitting outside in the sun now. Looks like it got nailed with the sprinkler the other day so it will have hard water spots now. I may wash it this weekend and see how they look.

Good choice! You may find the liquid easier to use though.

Bro, your car looks great after the detailing job you did. Thanks again for making the trip all the way from Illinois.

BUMP!! Just checked this out, if I knew I would have driven from NY to go there. Damn. Anyways, Great turnout, wish I had been there

QUESTION!! Chad, every other morning at around 4 until 6am the sprinkler system massacres my FG2 badly. I washed and waxed it yesterday, and it looked much better (done by hand btw), however when you look at it up close and personal you can see the water marks. Can't take a picture now, but I'm guessing I have to wash, (idk the order now) clay, meguiars 3 step, then wax with NXT 2.0 cuz it rocks. Sounds right?

That sounds right. I would use NXT 2.0 instead of the step 3 wax.

^ Thanks and has anyone heard of the Powerball4Paint? I was thinking of using that rather than using a random orbital... Can I use that for the Paint Cleaner and Polisher from the 3 step as well as the NXT V2 wax?

chas has an "ask a detailer" thread in the detailing section. you might have better luck getting answers in there.

Yeah, but it's so covered in hard water spots from the sprinklers that it needs to be re-buffed. I've just been too busy with school and work to keep up on it.

I have some time today so maybe I can try some other waxes on it.

Rasky I was looking at this picture and it seems he was hitting the window with the buffer, first am i wrong and if not Im assuming it doesnt damage the window? Would it be different whether damage would occur if it was a polish or just a wax?

Edit: Sorry didnt want to repost all the pcis I couldnt find the right code for the one i wanted, 2nd picture down

Actually that is me buffing. I dont think I actually touched the glass, though there is some sling on it but it wouldn't hurt it even if I had, polish or wax. I taped off the molding which was could actually be damaged.

Thanks for the info wasn't sure what a polisher does to glass, I know the tape was for the molding since that stuff can be ruined by a polish.
