New member with few questions (Civic/STi)

Hello!

So my sister is going out of state for college, so thus, I am going to keep her car for awhile. It's an regular non-SI model Civic, completly bone stock. I've owned couple Honda's in my past (97' ITR and 92' swap'd hatch), but I'm completly ignorant when it comes to new age civics. I currently own an STi and turbo M Roadster, so I've been out of the honda scene for a good while.

I've been using the car as DD, but I cannot stand how horrible it handles! Although I'm impressed on how quick the steering is, but there's way too much understeer and the brakes are absolute pile of crap. Soooooo.....

Can anyone direct me on proven suspension components that makes an dramatic difference on these cars? I'm not too interested in engine performance, but more focused on handling dynamics. I've already switched out the stock pos hubcaps for BBS wheels and summer tyres, and they made a big difference. And if anyone can give me a ride in a well modded civic si, or have used parts, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Some pictures of the civic

And some old pictures of the Cosworth STi w/o decals

Nice Sti, Almost bought a used STi before I got my New Si. It handles and brakes pretty damn good and is sord of compairable to the Sti in that. You always have the coilover but thats gonna cost a good amount.

HFP suspension kit
Si rear sway bar
Ingalls front camber bolts
Sticky tires
Negative camber & ever so slight toe out

Those components will drastically alter the handling characteristics of your sisters civic. It'll still take some getting used to though since you are used to AWD, but will corner great for a FWD base model civic.

Thanks

So no front sway? I always believed that there was way too much rear traction on these cars, so that makes sense. Anyways, I will order HFP kit and some camber plates later today, and go from there. Thanks for the comments, keep them coming.
