Honda Dealer in NoVA

Does someone on this board live in Nothern Virginia, Fairfax County? Which Honda Dealer in Northern VA do you take your Honda in for service and it does a honest good job servicing your Honda? Thanks

I take mine to Fairfax Honda. A person that works there is on this site. If he wants he will reply on this post. I also have a brother that is a mechanic there.

what about hfp suspension? will any local dealers match college hills honda and install for a decent price also? bought my si at fairfax about a year ago, called them up about hfp suspension when the sedan version came out and they quoted me 4 hours at $95/hr for installation and a few hundred more than chh for the kit.

I just installed the HFP suspension on my FA5 and it isn't that hard if you have tools. I did with just two jack stands and a floor jack. Have air tools helps, too. The dealers around here DC/MD/no VA area all were way overpriced for the kit and well as installation. I don't think you'll find a reasonable price except from an online dealer and the two dealers on ebay. If you have any quesions, feel free to ask?

I work as a tech at Koons Honda of Manassas and we have the highest rep. and sales in Service than any onther Honda Dealer in VA, 30+ bays with honest and knowledgeable techs. Come on down, and we also do the 3rd gear replacement gear set on warranty SI's, we don't kick them around like other dealers, i have done 4 so far.

Replace the whole 3rd gear set with an upgraded set from honda, currently its on a 3-4 week back order. Notchy shifting is normal Honda states, but if there is grinding and the car is still within Warranty it should be covered. We do have to actually feel the gears grind to do the repair, so if we cannot replicate it there is nothing we can do. There is also talk about a full transmission upgrade in the works if they get enough complaints is what our parts guys are saying, and if that's true that mean that they will give all years affected an extended warranty on the trans. much like they have in the past with the old Accords and Oddy's.

I got my car from Brown's Arlington. Good price and sales experience but I can't vouch for their service department at all since buying it was my only business with them. Sorry that doesn't help much...

There is no service bulliten on it yet nor is there anything in service news. The part number I can post once I go back to work on Wed. I heard about upgrade through our parts guys and I just did the whole 3rd gear set replacement last week on a co-workers car. The other three we did were just synchro replacements using Labor Op. # 2131D0. If you want to get a part numbers faster you can call Ben in our parts dept, he has all the info.
