Angry Horrible Service Department In Arlington VA

To make a long story short I went to go get my Si serviced today at my local Honda dealership. Brown's Arlington Honda. I of course have been having the same 3rd gear problems as a lot of Si owners. After getting my Si back they informed me that they did nothing about the 3rd gear problem cause during the test drive they couldn't get the problem to occur for them, so they weren't going to do anything. They didn't reset my oil life gauge, and they had no idea what I was talking about when I talked to them about the factory reflash for the ECU. Learn from my mistakes stay away from this dealership and service department.

You have to use the term "ECU upgrade" with service advisors. And is there a new service bulletin out for these? I haven't seen one.

udumkid, rippars told me to talk to you actually. the dealership didn't even run my VIN though. they didn't even know about the ECU "upgrade" I asked them if they looked my car up by VIN or anything and they said there was no need to cause there was no such thing as an ECU "upgrade".

yeah, I got pulled over by a cop one day and told me that I had illegal license plate holders (um yeah, they were clear, but whater) So, I immediately went to Brown's...which is where I had boughten my car (old civic).
Mind you it's pouring rain, I don't have the proper tools and it's dark. I go in, NO customers are there. No one bothers to ask if I need help. They're just sitting o their fat asses talking to each other. I was like "um, can someone help me".
This one dude, think he's hispanic named Jose, go fig. Has his legs up and crossed on the counter, leaning with his hands behind his head. He's like "yeah". I explained to him that I needed to take my license plate cover off. He was like uh, I can't do it. Same asshole who didn't want to help me last time. I was like" I can do it myself, just give me to tools, it's really not that difficult". He's like "um" and then yells for someone else to come. Didn't even bother to move his dumbass. Luckily the guy that came out to help me was really nice and did the job within a couple of seconds.

Before that I always had more problems (w/car) leaving then when I first came to them.

Edit: Just realized that the Hispanic comment can be offending. I only said that because I'm Hispanic and you think a fellow Hispanic would be willing to help another one out!

I actually printed out the S/B at the dealership i went to and they did it for me, the ecu reflash. It took them a while but they eventually found it after i gave them the print out. It was actually on this forum where someone posted the s/b. But this was a while ago,but i didnt know there was another s/b for this.

I went there, back in november, when I was shopping for a FA5 Habinero red pearl with navi, and they said that there were no Navi's out, and I told them I saw one at browns honda, and they tried to say that browns installed that Aftermarket, and it wasn't like that from honda. They said they could do the same thing. i was like WTF. You don't know shiet. I also asked if I could order one from honda, and they were like, we don't order cars, we just get what comes to us. More bullshit...
I did not want to talk to them anymore after that. I can only imagine how bad their service is, if that is how they treat potential customers.

haha, same thing with me. Even though I had a bad experience, my boss had had GREAT service from them. Maybe it's because she's white and I'm not? Anyway, so she talked to the guy who then in turn I contacted. We met and stuff and we were going to order it, blah blah blah. Bastard never called me back. Went to Landmark Honda, oh man..that's another story. Salesmen were ASSHOLES, yes that's right, I said it. I had great service from their service department, but their new car sales AWFUL! They were pressuring me, rushing me..we don't have that car you want, but what about this one or this one. No, I am not going to invest in a car, just because. I wanted a coupe in TW with navi. One of their salesman, also hispanic like myself sent me an e-mail basically saying to stop dreaming and I would never get that car. Went to Md and got the car I wanted straight from the factory.

I had a similar experience at Landmark when I was shopping for my Si. The sales man refused to let me leave. They didn't even have the Si in the color that i wanted and then tried to push another one on me that I didn't even like. I really haven't had any experience with the landmark service department yet. I was thinking about going to them or out to MD for Ourisman.
