It's a real issue IMO. Why da faq does a 220 whp car need a stage 4 clutch? Now you look retarded trying to drive it and your car is still slow. Stock or a Stage 1 would have been fine. /rant Quote:

Stock clutch tq rating- 139 CM fx350- 139*110%= 152.9 wtq holding ability CM fx400- 139x170%= 236.3wtq holding CC stage 4 - 139*250%=347.5wtq holding CCstage 5- 139*300%= 417wtq holding I agree that buying a clutch that is over rated for your power is dumb. But getting one that is made for the power you produce isn't, slipping your clutch after you spend 6k on building your car is stupid. I tried to run my stock clutch as long as possible, it lasted 4 months with the SC + AC/3in pulley and 1 month with ****ty all season tires. As soon as i got tires that actually hooked pretty well the clutch started slipping and i couldn't even continue tuning, its a very annoying set back. Women suck after they marry! Most women would love to be a stay at home wife. Mine complains about the duties she has to do. Its very frustrating to me. Granted your only hearing my side but I don't think I am asking to much to have the house clean, make dinner and take car of the little one.

I can agree with this, that yes it can technically hold the power, at least most of it. But its not nearly as effective. And eventually the stock clutch will go out...why not save the time and money and do it from the start? Last edited by snizzletoff; 11-20-2012 at 08:30 AM. |
