What's up? I'm not set on 8thfest yet, about 60% there. But if you were planning on attending and wanted to go, I would be hooking up with Illsa (if) and then going from there. If you want to lmk. June 18th.

I didnt get a chance to check back yesterday in the random thoughts thread but I saw your responses about shooting a bow and arrow. Those are the only laws that I found too about it and thats the same way I interepted it, I was just trying to get someone elses opinion. Good looking out. I appreciate it, didnt want to say it in there because my question was like 7 pages ago already haha.

The tails aren't even the same. In City tails, the red starts underneath the corner of the lamp that stretches onto the side of the car. The Dubai car's taillamps have red that starts right at that corner.

Let's see, what else is there? The Dubai car was shown to have a two-tiered dash that the cheaper City never had? The City uses four-lug wheels whereas the Dubai car (aka Civic) has five-lugs? The Dubai car has amber corners, like all of Honda's cars in the US and none of their European / Asian offerings? I could probably go on, but you should have gotten the point by now.

    The defense rests, your honor.

As for the spy shots, I can tell you're not into details. Yeah, the headlights and body shape look similar. They're two small cars made by the same company. Same grill?

Here's a closeup, so hopefully you can see the difference now. Derp. If you actually look, the Dubai car's grill is an evolution of the current Civic sedan's grill, perhaps with some City styling cues thrown in, but an evolution nonetheless. The main piece that holds the Honda badge is virtually unchanged.

Okay...I don't even know where to start.

First and foremost, that article in no way, shape, or form refutes that the prototype seen in Dubai is the new Civic. Also, the article you linked was published on February 22, 2010, and written in the past tense, implying that the specific City model in question was ALREADY released prior to the article's writing. The Dubai spy shots surfaced when? Early October? Why would they still be testing a camouflaged mule for a model that was released months ago? Furthermore, the City has been on sale in India since late 2008 as a 2009 model, and has not undergone any cosmetic changes (to my knowledge). That article merely states that a new TRIM LEVEL of the City was released in India.

Yes, I did see the spy shots. Did you? And I would like to see official verification that the vehicle photographed in Dubai is the Honda City.
