Make sure the car is on a leveled surface. The moment the fluid starts overflowing out of the fill hole, then it's full. That should be about 1.8 quarts of MTF.

close the drain hole and start filling it up till you see fluid spill out of the fill hole thats when you know its full

thanks for the prompt responses guys, sorry for the nomenclatural mistake on the thread, but i figured it'd be easiest...so basically, let it drain, put the drain bolt back on, fill it up until the fluid runs out of the fill hole??

Pull the tube out a little bit at a time so the end of it is not bellow the fluid level, let gravity do the rest, the best tool for this job is a siphon pump like this one:
SIPHON PUMP KIT Transfer Gasoline, Water and Other - (eBay.ca item 130223247859 end time 19-May-08 20:21:03 EDT)

got it worked out, it took a while, i think i'm gonna invest in one of those pumps for the next one, the only thing that took a while was the actual settling of the fluid itself....it's night and day with the shifts now, it's like butter
