1st gear bogging...cant figure it out!

I guess this isnt really a good first post, but here it goes!

I just purchased my 06 Si two days ago and I absolutely love the car. Ive owned a boosted dc2, a ek with a jdm b18c, a mustang, a dsm, the list goes on. The overall build quality, ride and performance of this car blows them all away!

My problem is this. When rolling in first or reverse sometimes, when I attempt to blip the throttle a few times the car will bog. Sometimes it will respond with snappy throttle response. Other times you can go to 3/4 to full throttle and the car will struggle to respond badly.

The car is in the driveway currently and Ive disconnected the battery in an attempt to reset the ecu. The owner I purchased the car off of didnt drive the car while attempting to sell it (He had bought a pilot for himself and his pregnant wife). It currently has 58,000kms on it with no check engine lights or anything.

Ive read through the stickies and cant find any sold help, so Id appreciate anyones insight here greatly! Thanks in advance.

It happens when its fully warmed up. Tomorow Im going to clean the mass air sensor and replace the spark plugs. If that doesnt work, off to the dealership on tuesday (Thank god for having a warranty for once!)

I would have suggested taking a look at the air filter and cleaning the MAF. However, based on what you described... I have a feeling it is just the DBW system that our cars are equipped with.

My car is bone stock. The intake dose seem somewhat loud however for stock. I check the filter and it was clean. The engine bay was pretty dirty though. Im going to give the car a good once over tomorow while Im at work and see if I can discover anything. These K series motors are different from what Im used to :)

I'm tryign to relate to this in some way; but the best i can give is. low throttle respone.

i notice that our throttle response is horrible - you can virtually push the pedel 1/2 and let off very quickly and the car wont even rev. it tooke me some time to get used to. so if your "bliping" the peddle maybe the car isnt reconiginzing your peddle "blips"?

is this a possiblitly? instead of bogging im calling it lack of response.

Thats EXACTLY whats happening. Performance wise, the car runs really well and Im still falling further in love with the 6spd tranny and lsd :)
