PARTS (oreilly, advance, autozone, pep boys) store part number for the NGK plugs are

7746

and the NGK part number is IFR7G-11KS

the spark plug gap is .044, make sure you gap it with a needle nose and avoid touching the electrode (it can break and it will break with too much pressure)

and the EP3's spark plugs are another part number = 6994 (IZFR6K11)

Even if the plugs look the same, if they are different part numbers they could have different internal resistances (which could change your spark duration and spark temperature). And/or they could be a different heat range which could cause them to foul more easily (if they are colder) or cause detonation (if they are hotter).

In short, they may work, but they aren't the plugs which the engine is designed to use and most likely aren't optimal for your car.

Don't use them dude, take them back.

Some things, I'm sure are interchangable between engines, but plugs... probably not. Just take them back and get the ones that are for your Si.

One suggestion: don't gap iridium tipped plugs as they should be factory set. If they aren't the correct gap then take them back and exchange them. They aren't designed to be adjusted.

i called NGK after a customer broke his tip and i asked them yes or no to gap, and they said that all the spark plugs produced are factory gap but that does not mean factory gap is for ALL the engines the spark plug covers so its best if you do gap them

call NGK yourself

"Customer Service
hours: 8:30am - 6:00pm Monday-Friday EST
tel: 1-877-473-6767 prompt #1

Technical Support
hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday EST
tel: 1-877-473-6767 prompt #2"

like i said, use a needle nose pliers and adjust the ground and dont use the circular tool to see what the gap is, use the gapping tool with the rings

I could be wrong since I haven't done plugs on my Si yet but on the Densos and NGKs I've used they have all been factory gapped within spec for the engine. Gone are the days when you went to your local auto parts store and there were 6 different plug choices and you gapped them to spec. Plugs are specifically engineered for your car and if you're using the part number spec'ed for the car with modern high performance plugs, they should be correctly set from the factory.
