Another weird smell thread

So today i go out to get lunch nearby and on the way home i get this burning smell inside my cabin. As soon as i pull into my garage i get out, still smelling the burnt smell, and pop the hood. However, the engine didn't seem to have that strong of a burning smell (relative to the cabin). I check for signs of leakage but to no avail. I had my k+n sri for about a year with no problems so I doubt it would have to do with that. My car's an a/t r18, which i've had for about a year and a half.
Any ideas on what it could be???

Thanks y0

to add more info:
- the smell is noticeable after about 10/15 minutes of driving
- MIGHT be coming from the engine bay although when i pop the hood it isnt as strong

i read a thread about a cracked engine block leaking coolant resulting in a funny smell? now i have no clue what a cracked engine block looks like..but how do i check for that? a trail of blue stuff? cuz i dont see any

ud see leaking everywhere if it was cracked, and it would smell sweet.

my car smelled like hot ass one day for about 5 miles, then it went away.

an insect could be burning somewhere in or near the bay. what does it smell like? could you describe it?

I recently put an exhaust on my car and it smelt hot for 2-3 days... could potentially be the problem?

Do you have rustproofing or an oil spray undercoating?

I had an Accord back in 87 and it was treated with a rustproofing spray that was an oil spray When it was new sometimes the heat from the engine would cause the spray to drip onto the manifold.. It made one nasty odour. Went away after the spray set in a few months.

get under the car. its likely you ran over a plastic bag...and its stuck to your exhaust.

if thats the case, don't worry about it. It'll burn itself off in time.

thanks for the quick replies ill check under the car to see if anything got stuck
nothing was done to the engine bay besides the sri, i've got a tanabe axleback but the burnign smell that comes from that is different.
hard to describe the smell in detail...just kinda smells like...burning hahah
i dont want to say it smells like burning rubber because it doesnt really.
after driving today i can confirm that the smell only begins after driving for a while, and is extra noticeable when i stop at lights after coming off a highway.

im calling honda tmr to set up an appointment for that wheel bearing recall thing, doubt thats the problem though. My friend suggested that it might be due to the brake pads needing to be replaced?
