Help!! Any Honda Tech!!

Need help with my 3rd gear issue!! I know there a service bulletin for the 3rd gear problem and my car is within the TSB requirements for replacing the parts. BUT, my car is currently in pieces and would like to drop off the tranny to get the work done. Is that possible? I currently getting a complete engine build and custom turbo kit and would like to get this resolved before I put the car back together.

Im sure you still have to have the tech drive the car.

Wonder why? If Honda has acknowledge the problem and my car falls within the TSB, would they just replace the parts.

Nope, warranty will not be honored if the car is apart (ie. just bringing in the tranny). And since you are getting a complete engine rebuilt with a turbo kit, you might as well also consider your powertrain warranty gone.....ie. No TSB for you

The tech needs to drive the car to confirm the problem is there. Its in the TSB...TSB will not be honored if the problem is not found by the tech.

Easier to buy the upgraded parts and have the shop replace the 3rd gear sync and replace the LSD with a quaife.
