Amsoil MT fluid or OEM Honda?
I know I'm going to use some 0W-30 Amsoil synth oil in my next oil change (was using mobil 1). However, I wanted to replace my MT fluid also.
The only problem is, Amosil recommends using Honda OEM for some reason. Why is this? From their website: LUBRICANTS & FLUIDS Engine Oil Grade 1......All TEMPS SAE 0W-30 Synthetic Signature Series Oil SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil SAE 5W-30 XL Synthetic Motor Oil All Temps......5W-30 Manual Transmission,.....GLS[1] Fluids Power Steering Fluid.....PS Brake Fluid.....HB Series 500 High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid Clutch Fluid.....HB Series 500 High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid 1. Honda MT fluid, P/N 08798-9031 What should I do ![]() |

They only show that for the 08 Si's. If you look up the 06 or 07 Si, they list the MTF.
I'm running Amsoil MTF in my new 08, and the shifting is much improved! Read the description for the Amsoil MTF, and it says it is recommended for Honda OEM MTF fluid replacement. You will be fine! |
