Angry Honda broke my shifter cable.

So here it is i guess you could call this part two and three of honda broke my car lol. Part one:I think honda cracked my oil pan. ( read second to last post bc that starts part two.)

So now for part three, i had my dad pick my car up from honda this afternoon bc i was at work and wanted to get it out of this bs ass shop because all they seem to be doing is breaking somehting else everytime i have it there. As soon as i get home from work i hop right in the car and begin to inspect it and see if everything is good and what a surprise i look ay my shift nob and its backwards, i tried everything and it only goes this one way. I dont have any pics at this time but i will, is honda playing a joke on me? The only thing that i can think of is that the mechanic that replaced my shifter cable some how put the shifter on backwards, is this at all possible? The car drives fine but i cant have it this way lol. Also they were nice enough to break my rded positive terminal cover off my battery. BTW this is Coral Springs Automall honda. I plan on calling honda corporate monday first thing to tell them how shitty the servise here was.

But back to the shifter, Can the shifter actually be put on backwards? Wouldnt this mean that the cables are backwards also?

Yeah.. that place sucks! Don't go there. I had my tire rotation there and came back with a chip on one of my wheels. I also told them to fix some rattles from the back passenger side and came back with more rattles

PS. When you let them test drove your car, trust me they were not just cruising around. They were ing out of your shit. Last time I told them to fix another rattle at the driver door, they told me they had to duplicate the problem by test droving it first. I was waiting INSIDE this stealership and I heard my stock exhaust from miles away

Is your car an Si? If it is then you can easily fix the problem. First you need to loosen the lock nut under the shift knob, then rotate the shift knob to were you want it and then tighten the lock nut. That should fix your problem.

I tried that, and when the knob gets to the nut underneath it just continues to thread it and it comes up completly upsidedown, i mean its the complete opposite.

You hold the knob so that it is in the position you want it in and tighten the nut until the knob is held firmly in place.

I agree if the knob is upsidedown it just needs lock nut to be loosened....

When I bought my Si, the dumbass kid screwed my shifter knob on crooked. My dad unscrewed it and put it on properly though. Yes, their service does suck, there have been so many times where I've wanted to curse them out.
