2007 LX has inconsistent "feel" when driving

Some days it is a real pleasure to drive my 2007 LX sedan. The transmission and engine feel like they are smooth and working together. Drive quality on these days is impressive, especially when I drive on the highway.

Other days I feel like my LX is sluggish and unresponsive. The transmission seems to shift harshly, or too late, and it just seems like the engine and transmission are fighting each other. On days like these I often feel like flooring the accelerator pedal in order get the engine out of its "funk".

I have no explanation for the Jeckle & Hyde drive quality that my LX seems to exhibit. One theory is that the computer is factoring the ambient temperature and humidity into the air/fuel ratio setting, which is negatively affecting engine and transmission drive quality when conditions are right.

Anyone else ever notice this? I am starting to wonder if I took too much L$D back in the day.

I have noticed with my 5 speed that my car is happier on some days more than other but I think it has to do with the air temp and what not. Also I think you might find that the "smart" computer that reads how you are driving may sometimes hang out on slow ass mode until you really feed it some right foot. I have noticed that when my car is feeling slow and crappy if I redline a couple gears and leave it in a low gear for my speed for a bit it wakes up and gets impressive again.

I might add that my LX has an automatic transmission.

My girlfriends LX does that as well (with an auto tranny) and I know exactly what your talking about. Never really worried about it since it's not my car, but I would love to know the answer so I could fix hers.

BTW, LSD is fully metabolized in your system and contrary to government propaganda, is not stored anywhere in your body, including the spine. It is completely out of your system in about 72 hours and as long as your mentality can handle it, it remains one of the physically safest recreational drugs there are. For all the brainwashed people who think otherwise, do your research and also check out the non biased website EROWID
