First post here, Whats up guys!

I had the same problem, took it to the dealer two times...

First time - Service writer told me that the tracks were dirty, so they cleaned them and added grease... (Sounds weird)

Second time - He told me some plastic part that holds the window might be broken, replaced the part...

The rattle is gone, but not fully. Only comes back when driving on a bad road...

I have an 08 4dr si too...

I have a 07 civic si with the window rattle. Took it to the dealer and they fixed the rattle. Don't know what the exact fix was but I know they had to remove the door panel and know the door is hard to open.

I usually lower the window a little bit more (half open) and the rattle goes away.

rwb137: did you tint your windows? would the dealer say the rattle was caused by the tinting and not fix it?

I had the same problem. Had the window regulator replaced to fix the problem. The dealership didn't want to fix it the first time I complained about it. They came back with the line that the other SI on the lot made the same noise. I just told them looks like you have 2 to fix. I told them I could have saved around $18k if I wanted to listen to windows rattle. They replaced it and it fixed the problem.

11 days old, '08 Si 4 door, and the L/F window has been rattling since day 1. Sounds like a snap when going over bumps, or even cracks in the road. Sounds like it's something hitting the glass, towards the ends of the door frame. With the window 1/2 way down, it's not there. Is this a bad regulator, or something else? I'd take it to the dealer, but don't have the time yet.

Any info would help. Thanks.

both my front windows rattle when you crack it open a few inches the sound goes away when it's about half way or more. havent bother to take it in yet, wonder what they are gonna say about tint probably something stupid like "the tint caused it because it added extra weight to the guide and tracks"...lol

I have window rattles too when the windows are cracked open like 3 to 4 inches. Afraid to take it to the dealer and get the car back with different problems or worse.

I know how to fix the window rattle. I couldn't figure out what the dealer did but recently found out that the bent to upper portion of my door frame so when the window rolls down there is tension on the window. I found this out because they bent it too much and was causing the door to close and open hard. Bent it back a little and i'm good to go.

I had a buzzing sound on my FA5 when the windows were not down all the way.
After I dynmated the doors, the buzzing went away along with other noises from the door.

They claimed they fixed this on mine by replacing the regulators (both windows), but they still rattle. I'll probably have to complain again. And my brand new sun visor rattles too...I swear they take parts out of one car and put them into another...
