Post your SERIOUS Mechanical or Technical Problem

Ok, there have been quite a few threads made regarding the so-called serious design flaws with Hondas and the decline of quality control and materials used in 8th Generation Civics. Here is your opportunity to share those lemon-like problems with the entire world and redress your serious grievances. If you've got a problem that merits sharing with Honda or anyone else that may be considering a new Civic as their next car, here's the place to do it. Every manufacturer makes a few lemons- even those touted for their high-quality standards.

However, don't post up any of the following:
  • paint issues
  • anecdotal arguments
  • minor issues
  • problems caused by aftermarket installations, aftermarket parts, poor judgement, ignorance, faulty driving, accidents, reckless behavior, or stupidity
  • undocumentable issues
  • personal preferences
This is not the thread to post up a tirade about any issues already addressed by TSB or other recalls, unless you've suffered serious documented (not just perceived or dramatized) damages as a result of any of those problems.

So let's hear em! Post up your horror stories.

This is not the thread for that. Yes, it's lame. Just like any creaks, rattles, or scuffmarks. Just like every chip, mark, or paint imperfection.

This thread is for SERIOUS issues.

I have a 2006 model LX. The issues I've had are:
-Replaced all struts
-Clutch Master Cylinder on its way out
-Tire Wear Fixed by replacing upper control arms

And we'll agree when you can document that it caused an accident, that it happens every shift, that it merited a transmission replacement, or that it led to something more serious.

Otherwise, this is not the thread to whine and complain about that. Any further anecdotal posts will be deleted.

This thread is lame. Why do we need a thread called post your Serious Mechanical and technical problems inside the Mechanical Problems and Technical chat forum.

Isnt that what this forum is already full of. Mechanical problems.

Don't bite the newbies, wtf is wrong with you? Obviously he's trying to become active on the forum and experienced users should offer guidance; not insult.

You might think so, but the vast majority of the problems posted so far in the entire section consist of all of the non-issues listed- NOT major mechanical problems. I'm trying to consolidate all of the real problems.

I did offer guidance.....i.e told him to use the search button.

Making all threads 3rd gear related is lame.

Most of us have the problem.....but not closely close to being a lemon.
