DX-G exhaust tip

Alright Civic lovers, Are there any other 2008 civic coupe dx-g owners finding out the hard way they have a 2.5 in outflow pipe on their exhaust. and Every intake on exhaust tips is 2.5in so none of them fit... what's up with the non standard Honda sizing. Even their tip is stated to only be 2.5. am i going crazy? is my tailpipe just bigger then normal? has anyone found one that work for sure?

You should be able to install the Si tip on the DX-G.

I understand your pain...I've visted almost every auto parts store on my side of town and have had no luck. They are all 2.25" intake and are too small. I found a nice Si looking one with a mounting bracket but still was a bit small. They have larger ones for like 2.5" and up intake but the tip itself is GIANT. My Wal-Mart trip in search of one was a bust too, it was $6 but both the ones they sold didn't work out either. Found some on eBay and also the Honda Parts website, but idk if I'm up for dropping $30+ on one....not that important.

its because putting a tip on a stock muffler looks cheap and de grades the honda badge .
go out and get a axle back at the least.

Slight bump, but does anyone have the measurements of the OEM tip? I found a couple ionline for cheap which I can get with the Amazon credit I got, but don't want the thing to wind up too long or wide.

hey. no idea on Honda Tip.. BUT you want a tip with a 2 3/4 inlet.
