Yeah now that I remember (don't have it infront of me).. The % is based also on RPM's and maybe a couple other parameters from the ECU.. Basically a combination of factors in how you drive it that wears out oil at different rates. Thy manual shall explaineth.

Wrong, the break in oil in new Honda's have a higher molybdenum content for reduced friction

According to the owners manual you should change the oil at 15% oil life or 12 mo., whichever comes first.

Which is why he is a shop manager and not a Honda engineer.

His job is to make money from idiots so he will tell you whatever he can to over service your car.
