Ive had my car for 30k miles.

sometimes I drive it hard for those 7k miles and other times I drive as slow as possible and baby the car and i still get the same % per mileage, and not my driving style.

Yeah now that I remember (don't have it infront of me).. The % is based also on RPM's and maybe a couple other parameters from the ECU.. Basically a combination of factors in how you drive it that wears out oil at different rates. Thy manual shall explaineth.

Wrong, the break in oil in new Honda's have a higher molybdenum content for reduced friction

According to the owners manual you should change the oil at 15% oil life or 12 mo., whichever comes first.
