Another Si Amsoil MTF success story!!!!!

Since I'm recently divorced and living in an apartment, I can't do any maintenance on my car, otherwise I would have just done it myself.

I was having issues with my new Si (~2,200 miles) going into gear, any gear. I got two quarts of Amsoil MTF and took them to my dealer I bought my car from. They told me that they couldn't install the Amsoil because I didn't bring enough. They said I needed 3 quarts. I pointed out in the manual that I only needed 2 quarts, and then they told me that if they put the Amsoil in, it would void my warranty. I then asked the idiot if he was going to give me free Honda OEM fluid and he looked at me like I was stupid. I then told him that if I had to use Honda OEM fluids, then they by law had to supply them free of charge. Then he began to argue that my fluid didn't need to be changed out at 2,000 miles. I then got in my car and drove off.

Went to the dealer where I bought my 06 EX, who has a service department who is very MOD friendly. They installed the fluid no questions asked and only charged me $20.

I think while I'm in my apartment for the next 4 months, I'm going back to my MOD friendly dealer, even though it's twice as far away.... It's worth it.

Now the results.... WOW! The transmission goes into each gear like butter. Another thing that I noticed is that when in reverse, the tranny no longer howls so loud. I thought it was just a Honda thing, but it was more a inferior fluid thing!

Oh, BTW I'm a preferred customer with Amsoil, so I get the MTF for just over $7.00 a quart. The dealer wants just under $12.00 a quart for the OEM Honda crap. GO AMSOIL!!!!!!!!
