well here's the story this time..
ok yesterday, i was driving around chillen with the lady friend. but yeah we was driving in her new subdivision looking around for a import car she have seen around...so my dumbass drives around the neighborhood for a bit...then suddenly run into a dump truck and a trailer blocking the damn street...so i put my car into reverse...took off a lil bit(around 5k rpm) then *pop*... once i heard it that sound, i immediately hit the brakes. after all that i checked all the gears and found out that first gear won't catch at all...so i took off(second gear) to the friends house. I got out and looked under the car...found out the tranny fluid was leaking pretty bad..i think something was loose when i gotten it rebuilt...this got me stressing the whole night. so i finally got it towed back to the place where i got it rebuilt...should be still under warranty...after 2k miles the tranny was rebuilt...well as of right now i'm thinking about trading the Si when it gets back, but idk which car to swithc to=/ I have bad karma with the Si since day 1... |

Sounds like a bad job rebuilding it.

This is exactly why Honda doesn't want to recognize there is a problem w/ their car. These techs have no idea what they're doing and it will just cost Honda so much more money fixing up the mistakes of the first transmission job. A transmission rebuilt should NOT be left w/ a dealership. A TRANSMISSION shop deals w/ transmissions.
Is it me who only sees this? |

When I took my car in for a 4th gear whining noise they replaced a whole bunch of parts and when I got my car back 4th was quiet but the rest of the gears where now making noise (probrably from all of 4th's metal flakes wearing everything away) I took it back and they said it was normal. Umm, no it's not, I've never been in a new car with a loud transmission, and it wasn't loud before the 4th gear problem. So instead of getting a factory rebuilt transmission I could trust lasting when the warranty expired I got mine partially rebuilt as fast as someone could do it so they could get more work in and make more money (not blaming the tech though). |

Honda doesnt want to spend the money and the dealerships arent going to be making any money on warranty work. Ive had to take my tranny out twice cuz one of the techs at my shop messed up my tranny. Im about to tell my boss to order me a new tranny.

Honda was about to order me a new tranns till the shop foreman said that having a whining noise in all gears was normal (even annoyingly audible at 80). That was the last straw for the car so I just traded it in. I had a love hate relationship with it.
