Stant's Locking fuel cap
It is Stant's 11507 (10507) model for the 06 Civic. Since a few SUV's in the complex has had their car broken into and fuel siphoned out, I went out and purchased one.
Right off the bat, I notice the Stant unit is slightly bigger than the OEM unit. Thread pitch appeard the same. The Vent/bypass mechanism appeared to work the same, but looks different. I couldn't take it out of the package because I may want to return it and go OEM. My other vehicles have all been upgraded to the Locking fuel cap, and they were built identically when compared to OEM. Its funny that the Honda piece is not. Just out of curiorisity whether anyone tried this yet? Thanks for reading. |

siphoning isn't the only way people can steal your gas. i was watching the news and they've reported that some thieves will even drill a hole into ur tank and take whatever gas they can get from that.
i still can't believe there are people out there that are THAT low to do such a thing. |

Piece of sh*t people, I love hearing when they cut live high voltage power lines and kill themselves though. Does the Si have anything in the fuel filler neck that will block a hose from going in? My current car has a rollover valve at the top of the tank (not that little flap thing) which conveniently also stops a hose from getting past it. |
