Engine won't start after security install

I just had a remote start/alarm system installed in my '08 Si with standard transmission.
It won't start now. They tried both keys.

They believe it is a transponder error, and are taking it back to the dealer to fix.

I trust these guys to know what they are doing. They say Honda has heard of it happening before.

Anyone ever hear of this happening?

Sounds like they forgot to spoof the keys transponder when they started the car, which in turn set of the Factory alarm.

You might try pulling the negative battery cable for about 30 minutes which resets the ECU.

Otherwise give the dealership a ring.

I kinda doubt it's going to be a warranty issue with the car. They probrably f*cked up the transponder in the steering column somehow and will have to pay for the repair.

They were unable to start the car the 1st time, so unable to even spoof the key.
It worked going in. Wired up. No transponder.

They removed everything from the car, and towed it to the dealer this morning.

Icing on the cake is they gave me a F'ing Fusion for a rental.
