SS ftw! I don't think it'll interfere on anything with the gears

from what I've been hearing...the "fix" doesn't really fix the problem. I really don't want my tanny ripped apart if it isn't even gonna fix the problem. Am I wrong?

If I'm not mistaken I think SpecialRingPop wrote the problem remains on his car even after the fix so..I'm keeping my fingers crossed and driving mine easy for a while, no hard shifting or high reving. If the problem comes back on my car, it'll be very unfortunate, but I think I'll trade it..

I would too unfortunatly. I don't know how you guys live with it. I test drove a used SI at a dealder not too long ago, and 3rd gear was grinding 90% of the time. Both low & high RPM shifts. It was unbelieveable. Sure that SI was raped half to death but still.

My gears are notchy as hell, but don't grind thanks to AMSoil tranny fluid (which I put in at 1,500 miles.)

Yes and no.

The first two days I had the car back, it popped out on me twice. It hasn't since then, but it's still just notchier than a transmission should be.

Today, it gave me a kind of "gate" like it used to for the first time. It ended up going in, but it really bent me for the rest of the day...

^ You lose a lot of money when doing a trade, altho if you aren't happy with your car then by all means you should get something that suits you. I remember when the EP hatch came out, and everyone said that it's ugly, and that honda messed up big time yada yada. Altho it doesn't look all that good in stock form, it looks hot when tuned with good taste. Honda made a mistake with this SI as well since the tranny can't keep up with the demands put on it with spirited driving. I can only imagine all those used SI's with crappy tranny's being sold, and the next owner suffering with it as well. Its sad.

Hope you guys get yours fixed.

Anyone have an weird noise coming from the front drivers side wheel are that sounds like some kid of rubbing as well as vibration that you feel. It only happens from a complete stop then slowly accelerating and turning hard left or left in general. I heard of one other person with the same exact issue and they said the tech forgot to put the lock washers on the LSD. So now my SI is in the shop with the same problem and they are stating that they cannot replicate it. I need some HELP HERE!

Flush your tranny and put Royal Purple Synthetic Motor Oil 10W-30....all of ur problems will go away....i did this about 6 months ago and omg what a difference...mine was notchy, grinded and popped out all the damn time....i put this in and ive had absolutely no problems since....my tranny is sooooo smooth....i see no reason for me to get this TSB as all my problems have completely disappeared....trust me try it....i know how frustrating those problems r
