Yeah I just called again for the 4th time since April 15 when they supposedly put me on the list and we are still waiting on some bolts. In the meantime, the pass seatbelt and airbag that had been ordered and setting on the shelf for over a month now has been sent back because according to parts, "we cant have that stuff sitting around. If we dont use it, it must go back." So now they have to reorder that stuff.

sorry I didn't want to read thru 70 pages. Has anyone taken their car in for this with a short shifter on? I have the corsport short shifter and need to know if I should take it off before I take my car in? Thanks and soory again if this has already been asked.

That's all going to depend on your specific service department.
There have been a couple people who took theirs in with short shift kits on and had no problems getting the TSB work done.
I know of at least one that was denied TSB work because of aftermarket parts.

So really it depends on how well you know your service department.
If you don't think they'll notice/care, then just leave it on.
If you think they might, always safer to pull it before it goes in for service.

I don't think they can legally deny you the work based on the short shifter, but they might try. And if that happens then you're just in for a huge hassle.

you're probably right. It only takes a minute to take it off.

I've been waiting for a month for the parts to come in. They are still in back order. You think Honda would of made a large quantity of parts before they even release the TSB to the public..

I believe they delayed the release of the TSB for 2-3 months to do that. Even then, I don't think they knew how much of a problem it really was, and how many people were waiting for the TSB to be released.

So I finally got my car back! About 2 weeks ago when I called, they said it would be no sooner than August, but I received a call at work today telling me my vehicle was ready.

The shifts are amazing now; this is how it should have always been!

Well honda f'ed up my tranny. Now its poping out of 4th They called me and told me that they fixed 3rd but now 4th is doing what 3rd was. Now they have to pull it back out and figure out whats wrong w/ it. My guess is an install error or the wrong 3rd gear set. My car was the third one they have done and the only one to have a problem.Go figure. So now im out of a car til they figure it out. My case manager is gone til tuesday so no rental for me until then. Maybe i will call the service manager tomorrow

Thanks for the update. You've probably have had it on there longer than most people.

Yep, just had my third fixed a couple weeks ago. Just how it should've been from the start, no issues. My car has never felt like this since I've purchased it, definitely glad it's fixed now. I like driving it again.

Yeah, my parts were on back order for almost 2 months. The Honda IN system usually has an ETA within a week when I used to work in parts. It's worth the wait though.

Update>>> I still have not gotten my car back. As a matter of fact they have had the tranny out 3 times since friday. 1st time for the tsb, second time for a bearing and now today to replace a sencro. Its kind of sad it only has 4500 miles on. Atleast they gave me an 08 accord to drive. Hopefulley i will have it back tomorrow.

^^is your dealer covering you 2nd gear too? what problems were you having with 2nd?

i know this has been covered before, but i've been searching around with no luck.

i dont do this very often, but when i go redline in first and shift to 2nd, it grinds maybe 1 every three times. i try to shift as quick as possible and dont have probelms in other gears like 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th. it seems like i have to wait till the rpms drop to make sure it doesnt grind.

does anyone else have this problem, and has anyone gotten it fixed?

Thanks
