Keep us posted man i don't know wither i should take it in to the dumb asses or not they may screw it up more then what they would fix

i'd definitely take it in....in my case, it got 10x worse after a few months to the point where i couldnt even drive! everything seems to be kool now but i wonder did anyone also need a shift fork replacement as well as the new 3rd gear set or was it just me?

it makes me think that for all the guys who said the problem wasnt fixed after taking it in, is it because there's something else thats wrong that they overlooked on your case such as shift fork failure or what not?

Where are you having it done at? I brought mine in Friday to hondaland and they told me they had a new 3rd gear set in stock. Saturday called telling me that set was faulty and they needed to order a new 3rd gear set. Ordered it yesterday morning and supposed to be here this morning with the car hopefully done by this afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I know exactly what you going through. I am getting my 3rd gear fixed in GateWay honda in New Port Richey and its already 2 weaks and still no parts. The good thing is they gave me a rental car, a honda accord so I am good for now but I do miss my car.

im going to leave my car at the dealership in front of the big main doors blocking anyone from getting in or out with a sign saying

"Third Gear Doesn't Work On Brand New 2008 Civic Si. Waiting Months For Parts. Buy Your Honda Today!"

that should have them fix my car real quick and get customer priority on my parts! LAWL

I took my car in on the 12th to Maroone Honda in Hollywood, FL and parts are still on National Back Order; however, they are providing me with a Mazda6. I plan to drive the shit out of it too. May even take it on a couple of trips. I'm up to 400 miles on it so far...

no problem man, i just hope everyone reads that post!

When i took my car in there was no TSB and therefore they actually fully opened up and thoroughly inspected what needed to be fixed AS OPPOSED to the TSB which ASSUMES a certain reoccurring problem and they follow the guidelines to fix the ASSUMED problem. What if something else and/or something different is wrong? I hope you all ask that question when showing the TSB.
